Salsa & Bachata Footwork Competition – Event Structure
Competition Rounds

First Round Matches: Competitors face off in one-on-one freestyle matches. Each dancer gets two 30-second turns to showcase their skills to random music. Judges select the top performers based on technique, musicality, and stage presence.

Semi-Final Matches: The top dancers go head-to-head in 45-second footwork matches. Each pair faces off, and judges decide who advances to the finals.

Final Match: The remaining dancers compete in a one-on-one footwork match. They take turns dancing in 1-minute segments to different music, testing their adaptability and performance skills until a winner is crowned.
Scoring Criteria

Musicality (30%) – Ability to hit accents, follow rhythm changes, and interpret the music.

Creativity & Style (25%) – Unique movements, flair, and originality in footwork.

Technique (20%) – Clean footwork execution, balance, and control.

Performance & Presence (15%) – Confidence, energy, and engagement with the audience.
